Everyone likes, even loves, something they probably shouldn't. A bad TV show or bad movie. Old comic books. Cartoons from their youth. Guilty pleasures, they're called. You might feel embarrassed about yours but you probably don't. Write an essay that identifies and explains why you love what you do. Reasons like "Because it's awesome" or the like will be grounds for a failing grade.

Enjoy this, have fun with it, but keep in mind I continue to expect progress and improvement in your basic writing skills. A successful paper will have:

  • A clear, specific, developed thesis
  • A strong introduction
  • Memorable writing, free from padding, lazy thinking
  • Correct grammar
Missing any of these begins you with a C and from that point your grade will continue to lower.

LENGTH: 1500 words

DUE: Wed., November 14th

Printed out and stapled required.
